The Property

Tholloloboy is a family-owned and operated Merino breeding property, covering an area of 17,216 hectares on the Willandra Creek, 90km west of Hillston and 210km north of Hay. With a focus on producing high quality merino genetics, the company manages approximately 10,000 Merino sheep. The property has well-equipped station plant, fully reticulated poly pipe water system covering the complete property, three sets of good sheep yards and a laneway system servicing all paddocks on the property, all aimed at making management efficient.

Key Responsibilities: As the Station Manager, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage and assist with all farm operations to maintain peak efficiency.
  • Oversee the maintenance and improvement of property infrastructure including fencing and sheep yards.
  • It is essential to have a strong commitment to animal welfare and their nutrition, ensuring the optimal condition through vigilant health.
  • Prioritise safety protocols to maintain a secure and hazard-free working environment for yourself and additional personnel.
  • Maintain records of stock numbers, movement and health, utilising AgriWeb technology for efficient tracking and reporting.

You will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience in farming, including property maintenance and repairs.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • A sound knowledge of livestock management and animal welfare.
  • A good level of communication.
  • Honesty, reliability, and attention to detail.
