We currently have a vacancy for a soil technician at the Lismore Quarry, this is perfect for someone who has a genuine interest in math, science and geology as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Day to day:

Test the physical & mechanical properties of construction materials such as soil and rock used on construction sites. Undertake a variety of manual tasks out in the field and in the laboratory.

Essential requirements:

• Stable accommodation in the Northern Rivers, NSW, AUS
• Manual driver's licence and reliable transport
• White Card (General Construction Induction Card)
• Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy samples / equipment
• Unrestricted Australian working rights
• Recent professional references
• Year 12 certificate
• Availability 5 days p/w

Desirable experience:

• Certificate III in Laboratory Skills
• Certificate III in Construction Material Testing or equivalent together with commercial testing experience in a similar role is highly regarded.
• Previous experience in testing Aggregates and Soils to Standards is highly regarded.
