Socio Economic Policy Advisor

Job description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Policy Adviser to join their purpose-driven team in Sydney. This full-time, permanent role offers hybrid work arrangements and the opportunity to shape policies that directly impact the future of agriculture and rural communities across NSW.

As a subject matter expert in the socio-economics portfolio, you will drive advocacy efforts across diverse areas including drought, natural disasters, telecommunications, transport, and taxation. Your role involves building strong relationships with industry stakeholders and government bodies while providing guidance to policy directors and advisers within the team.

To excel in this position, you should hold a tertiary qualification in agriculture, law, economics, science, or business. You will need experience in policy or government relations, well-developed research and writing skills, and a proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships. A genuine interest in rural and regional NSW affairs is highly desirable.

Our client provides a supportive, values-driven culture with benefits including professional development, gifted leave days, paid parental leave, and salary sacrificing. Flexible working arrangements may be available to support your work-life balance.
