The Service Technician's role is to safely provide excellent customer service to meet these service agreements' onsite obligations and requirements.

You'll be the vital on-the-ground link between the warehouse team and site operations, delivering high-quality service, performing stock checks, and ensuring the efficient flow of consumables for underground drilling operations.

What You'll Do

  • Travel to designated mine sites in the Cobar region and conduct weekly on-site stock checks and tool condition assessments
  • Deliver and collect rock-drilling consumables from mine site storage containers, liaising directly with drillers and site supervisors to understand site needs
  • Monitor wear and damage on rods, bits, and accessories
  • Back in the office, you will report on tool usage, site activity, and customer feedback
  • Coordinate deliveries, stock levels, and service logs using MS Word & Excel

About you

You're hands-on, reliable, and thrive in an independent role. You'll be confident working in sometimes challenging environments, building strong relationships with site personnel, and managing logistics tasks with precision.

Desired skills/experience include

  • Experience with drill consumables or mining operations (ideal but not essential)
  • Willingness to work underground
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and sound judgement in physical inspections
  • Comfortable using Word/Excel for reporting and Outlook for emails
  • Physically fit - capable of lifting up to 40kg
  • A valid Australian Driver's License - manual with 4WD training/experience preferred
  • Forklift license desirable

You will be representing the company on sites so it is essential that you communicate and present well and have a good understanding of customer service.

What's on offer?

  • Full time, permanent position - flexibility in start/finish times
  • Autonomy and independence in your role
  • Join a globally recognised brand with a strong reputation in mining
  • Direct impact on servicing key mine sites in the Cobar Basin
  • Supportive team based at our Ballarat HQ
  • Vehicle provided
  • Competitive hourly rate

This role is for immediate start so don't delay!

As you will be required to be inducted onto a number of different mine sites, you will be required to undergo a National Police Check and full pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
