Regional Manager - Fuel Distribution

Job description

Our client is a reputable distributor of fuel and lubrication products across regional NSW known for their quality products and outstanding customer service delivery.

They are seeking expressions of interest from applicants who are either from or moving back to Cootamundra or surrounding area, bringing with them their extensive knowledge and experience of both regional NSW and the fuel and lubrication industry across retail, wholesale and supplychain.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Regional Manager will work in a friendly and family-based organisational culture with coporate reporting responsibilities on performance including HSSE (Health, Safety, Secuirty and Environment), Team Leadership and People Management, Depot and Transport Operations, Wholesale and Retail Sales and Financial Management.

Key working relationships include those with the CEO, Head of Retail, HSE Manager, Supply Procurement Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Sales and Logistics Administrators and the Finance team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in business management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership / management role with a track record of successfully leading and managing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in preparing budgets, financial reporting, and ensuring cost control.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in negotiating commercial sales and service agreements.
  • Extensive experience in the petroleum industry, particularly in depot, transport, wholesale sales and retail operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the HSSE aspects of Wholesale and/or retail fuel operations.
  • Experience in managing fuel storage depot and transport operations.
  • Successful track record in developing and implementing strategies to increase wholesale sales profitability.
  • Experience in managing wholesale pricing, identifying new sales leads, and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Background in overseeing the efficient and profitable operation of retail service station sites.
  • Proven ability to contribute to the development of business strategy, with a focus on achieving business performance improvement
  • The role requires travel across multiple sites and regions throughout New South Wales therefore a clean driving record and licence is required.
