Quality Control Technician

Job description

Our client is a manufacturing facility of high quality products, based in the Parkes region of NSW. They have a rare entry level Quality role available for immediate start.

Quality Control Technicians work on the factory floor to sample and test raw materials, in-process and finished product and packaging materials. In addition, this role assists with environmental monitoring, water sampling and in factory hygiene checks. The Quality function also includes an element of documentation - review and maintenance of quality procedures, internal auditing etc.

What will I be doing?

This is a role with lots of variety and opportunities to learn. Key duties will include:

  • Collect and submit samples for laboratory analysis

  • Conduct laboratory analysis

  • Maintain accurate records and assist with reporting

  • Collect, monitor, and report on customer complaints and corrective action progress

What skills and experience do I need?

Above all else, you will be reliable, self-motivated and a great team member. In addition, we are looking for:

  • School leavers - completed HSC or vocational qualification

  • Professional attitude and demeanour

  • Sound computer literacy including Word, Excel

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Friendly, outgoing personality who is able to work well with others

  • Eager to learn

You will be required to work shift work, so own transport is desirable. Job offers will be contingent on National Police Check and a pre-employment medical.
