Job description

Our Client
This values-led organisation operates at the intersection of government, construction, and community recovery. With a strong national presence and a local focus, they deliver fast-paced infrastructure programs that help regional communities rebuild and thrive after natural disasters.

The Opportunity
We're looking for a seasoned Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a significant modular construction program spanning approximately 50 sites across Queensland. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll lead from the front - managing teams, contractors, safety, and performance across multiple regional locations.

This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You'll need to be confident navigating shifting priorities, driving delivery, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, trades, and government stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of major construction projects - from planning to closeout
  • Own the scope, schedule, budget, and quality outcomes across a diverse portfolio of sites
  • Drive a strong safety-first culture, managing all HSEQ planning, compliance, and incident reporting
  • Build and manage your project delivery team - from structure and hiring through to performance and development
  • Oversee project financials including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and client reporting
  • Cultivate trusted relationships with clients, councils, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulators
  • Set and track project KPIs, schedules, milestones, and delivery metrics
  • Implement ISO-compliant quality systems, risk management, and continuous improvement practices
  • Manage change requests, approvals, and reporting within agreed company processes
  • Travel throughout Queensland to lead site delivery and maintain stakeholder engagement

What You'll Bring

  • Trade or tertiary qualifications in construction or project management (preferred, not essential)
  • At least 5 years' experience delivering domestic and/or commercial construction projects
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, HSEQ, and contractual requirements
  • Proven leadership skills - able to motivate, delegate, and bring teams together under pressure
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A practical, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to adapt in fast-moving environments

Why Join?

  • Be part of a purpose-driven, high-impact organisation making a real difference
  • Work alongside experienced leaders who back your growth and trust your expertise
  • Deliver meaningful infrastructure programs in communities that need it most
  • Join a collaborative culture that values integrity, innovation, and care
