Production Supervisor - Cosmetics Manufacturing
Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturer of high-quality cosmetic products. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead the production team and ensure smooth, efficient daily operations across multiple production lines.
This is a hands-on supervisory role suited to someone who thrives on the floor, leads from the front, and enjoys working closely with their team.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency targets are consistently met.
Hours are 30 per week, with flexibility to scale up or down in line with production demands. You must be available to start at 7:00am to conduct toolbox talks and get the team operational for the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise production team members, including team leaders and line staff
- Lead daily toolbox talks, shift briefings, and on-the-job training
- Coordinate pre-production setup and post-production quality checks
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, WHS, and company policies
- Monitor production output, efficiency, and equipment performance
- Escalate operational issues and contribute to continuous improvement
- Work closely with other departments to optimise workflow
- Participate in GMP audits, stocktakes, and reporting
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised production environment
- Operate production equipment and forklifts (must be licensed)
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks and containers when required
- Provide hands-on supervision on the production line as needed
About You
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing supervisory role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
- Sound understanding of GMP, WHS, and quality standards
- Able to manage time, priorities, and people effectively
- Forklift licence - essential
- Reliable, proactive, and safety-focused
