AFMH operates multiple sites across eastern Australia. Dairy operations are located at Moxey Farms in Gooloogong, NSW, as well as Coomboona Farms in Coomboona, VIC. In addition, AFMH operates Ladysmith Farms, a young stock operation near Wagga Wagga, NSW.


Location

This position will be based at the AFMH office at Orange in Central West NSW.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the People Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing payroll, associated finance and administration services to the business. This will involve liaising with all levels of management and operational staff and will suit an applicant that has a passion for the agricultural industry and working in a high performing team. You will also take responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing, the flow on financial processes as well as Industrial Relations & Human Resources actions.

Key accountabilities include:

Working as a key member of the Corporate Services team your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Actively participate in end to end processing of fortnightly payroll
  • Deliver end to end maintenance of employee records throughout the employment lifecycle
  • Calculate and administer terminations, redundancies, deductions and allowances, workers compensation and other payroll related payments
  • Understand, interpret and ensure compliance to regulatory statutory obligations for all payroll processes
  • Complete reporting of payroll related taxation activities
  • Assisting with general ledger accounting payroll related processes
  • Deliver People Services audit activities and reporting requirements to external and government related parties
  • Deliver human capital reporting
  • Assist in maintaining accounting and HRIS systems to meet regulatory obligations
  • Supporting the delivery of People & Culture financial & operational projects; that bring efficiencies and deliver reliable services to AFMH employees and external stakeholders

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Proven experience within payroll, finance or accounts responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Administration skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and organise your own workload
  • A positive and proactive outlook
