Northparkes uses multiple mining methods including open pit, sub-level caving and was the first mine in Australia to use the block cave mining method. About the Role:

As an Ore Processing Technician at Northparkes Mines, you will be responsible for:

  • Perform preventive and proactive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime.
  • Support the Ore Processing Department in achieving business objectives.
  • Adhere to the site's Zero Harm policy with rigorous housekeeping standards.
  • Identify, report, and promptly address hazards.
  • Oversee day-to-day ore processing operations
  • Operate plant sections as directed, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Prioritise daily tasks effectively and communicate shifts clearly.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and address hazards promptly.

Roster: 7/7, Dayshift rotating days and nights
Hours: 12 hours/day
Contract: Permanant - Full-time

About You:

  • Experience in a processing plant environment - desirable but not essential
  • Valid manual driver's licence
  • You must pass a pre-employment medical
  • Strong work ethic and Safety Focus
