Job description
The Opportunity
Pet Care Kitchen is a state-of-the-art premium pet food manufacturing facility in Parkes, NSW, part of Masterpet Australia who are owned by The EBOS Group. The plant offers next generation product innovation and product development, currently not available elsewhere in Australia. Masterpet is a strong company with outstanding brands such as Blackhawk, VitaPet and Aristopet Animal Health with market leading positions across Australia and New Zealand.
The Maintenance team are responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing production equipment in the factory with the primary objective being to troubleshoot breakdowns to return machinery to service as quickly as possible. The Maintenance crew are also responsible for ensuring equipment modifications are properly conducted to minimise risk of cross-contamination and ensure product quality and safety.
Benefits
- Base salary $89,738 + shift allowances + overtime + superannuation
- Rotating Shift work - Monday to Friday 8 hour shifts on a 10 day rotation
- Monday to Friday only - no weekends

Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Perform planned and emergency maintenance and repairs on all production machinery and ancillary equipment.
- Troubleshoot by diagnosing equipment defects and develop solutions to ongoing or recurring problems.
- Dismantle and reassemble production equipment for the purposes of sanitisation and deep cleaning.
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and troubleshoot ideas.
About you
The successful applicant will have great communication skills, a positive attitude and a continuous improvement mindset. Other requirements include:
- Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in FMCG manufacturing in a maintenance role
- Able to perform basic level welding, brazing, flame cutting and electric arc welding
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Processes and food safety/HACCP requirements is desirable
- Current White Card and Confined Space accreditations
