About the positions:
Packaging Operator - Casual and Permanent
This role involves the operation of hi-tech packaging machinery and ensuring the smooth transition of packaged product to the warehouse, whilst maintaining hygiene, safety and quality standards. Permanent staff work Monday to Friday on a 10 day rotating shift arrangement.
Production Casuals are rostered to meet the demands of production with rosters out Thursday for the week ahead. You may be required to work any shifts - Day (6am to 2:30pm), Afternoon (2pm to 10:30pm) and Night (10pm to 6:30am) Monday to Friday. Hours will vary from week to week with the needs of production.
Duties include
- Working in a small team to ensure product is packed based on daily orders
- Use of automated packaging machinery plus scales, label makers, palletiser, pallet jack etc
- Monitors product quality frequently
- Reports any problems as soon as they arise
- Work collaboratively with QA and warehouse teams
Mixer Operator - Permanent
Mixer or Mill Operators are an essential part of the production team, responsible for preparing, weighing, mixing and transferring ingredients. Operating mixing machinery, you will monitor equipment, complete quality checks, maintain accurate records, and keep production running safely and efficiently.
- Set up, operate and monitor mixing equipment
- Weigh and measure ingredients to exact specifications
- Conduct and record regular quality checks and sampling
- Keep equipment and work areas clean and compliant with GMP
- Troubleshoot issues and support smooth production flow
- Work collaboratively with QA, extrusion and packaging teams
- Year 12 education or relevant work experience is preferred. The role requires this standard of reading and maths skills
- Sound computer and data entry skills
- Some experience in food production or other manufacturing is desirable
- Ability to do repetitive tasks including lifting and bending - you are on your feet for the whole shift
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence using tools and equipment
- Strong work ethic, reliability and willingness to be cross‑trained
- Forklift Ticket and experience is highly regarded
Above all, you will be enthusiastic, willing to learn and have good attention to detail, combined with great communication skills and an ability to manage your time.
Casual roles are available for immediate start, Permanent roles will require a pre employment medical and a satisfactory police check.
