The Role

As the Livestock Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of this modern 10,000-head cattle feedlot. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising staff, managing feedlot operations, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare. We are looking for a strong leader with a passion for livestock management who can optimise various aspects of the operation. This is an ideal role for someone with previous livestock or feedlot supervisory experience, looking to expand their knowledge and contribute to the growth and development of the feedlot capacity.

Duties include:

  • Manage all aspects of livestock including feedlot operations.
  • Supervise and roster team members for efficient stock handling and feeding activities.
  • Maintain facilities and machinery assets to meet operational needs and legislative standards.
  • Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving initiatives, and ensure budgetary compliance.
  • Promote a safety-first culture, conduct regular meetings, and implement new safety processes.
