Are you looking to build a career in civil construction with a well-respected local Council team? We're seeking a motivated and reliable Civil Labourer to join Tweed Shire Council's Civil Works crew. This is an excellent opportunity with full-time hours, ongoing potential, and the chance to go permanent down the track for the right person.

About the Role:

You'll be working on a variety of civil projects across the Tweed Shire, supporting the construction and maintenance of roads, drainage, and infrastructure. You'll be part of a supportive, hardworking team delivering vital work for the local community.

Start date: ASAP
Pay rate: $33.21 per hour
Schedule: Full-time hours, working a 9-day fortnight (get every second Friday off!)
Base location: Murwillumbah Depot / Tweed Heads Depot

Duties may include:

• General civil labouring tasks including digging, concreting, and site clean-up
• Assisting with road works, drainage and maintenance projects
• Operating hand and power tools
• Traffic control duties (if ticketed)
• Supporting skilled trades and machinery operators as required
• Adhering to safety protocols at all times

What We're Looking For:

• A strong work ethic and "can-do" attitude
• Some experience in civil construction, general labouring, or building/construction trades is a must
• Physically fit and happy to work outdoors in all conditions
• A team player who gets along with others and contributes to a positive work culture
• Willingness to learn and take on varied tasks
• Reliable and punctual

Essential Requirements:

• White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• Driver's licence and reliable transport
• Civil or construction labouring experience (at least 6 months preferred)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment check (including references, drug, alcohol and physical tests)_
• Must have full working rights - Sorry no Working Holiday Visa holders accepted
