Job description

Excellent opportunities to join a reputable government body in local Council. Our clients are looking for motivated individuals who have a great attitude and good skill set to help ensure the smooth running of the council's various divisions.

Operating within the Byron or Tweed Shire locations, these positions are responsible for performing a range of general labouring to skilled labouring duties.

If you have experience in one or more of the following areas, we want to hear from you.

Do you have at least one of the following?

  • Labouring background where you have used your initiative and worked under little supervision
  • Concreting, including formwork, pouring and/or screeding/Finishing
  • Civil roads experience
  • Mechanically minded
  • Plant operation ticket with experience
  • Parks & Gardens \ Landscaping



Are you the right fit? Do you have:

  • Possession of a Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card)
  • Ideally, an MR license
  • Ability and willingness to undertake labouring duties and take initiative
  • Exceptional communication skills and a proactive mindset
  • Positive "can-do" attitude
  • Safety focussed mindset
  • Availability to work full-time hours between 6:30am - 3:40pm
  • At least a current Class C Driver License with access to your own vehicle
