Job description
Our client is Kingston Resources Ltd, an ASX listed gold producer that is currently focusing on ongoing development of the Mineral Hill Gold Mine near Condobolin in NSW. Mineral Hill has commenced Underground development and is seeking highly skilled and motivated Jumbo operators to complete their team.
The Mine
Mineral Hill is located approx. 65 km from Condobolin, NSW. Mining gold, silver and copper, underground development has kicked off with production ore scheduled for early 2026.
About the role
Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor and working closely with a range of stakeholders including the Underground Mine Superintendent, Mining Engineers, and Surveyors, the Jumbo Operator will be a key player in our underground mining crew, helping us hit production targets and keep things running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Installing ground support as per standard and requirements
- Decline, incline and level development, boring development excavation profiles to spec
- Installing and maintaining underground services
- Supporting charge-up and other development tasks
- Communicating across shifts and ensuring high-quality work
- Leading by example in safety and environmental awareness
- Read and interpret mining instructions
- Keeping accurate records of activities in accordance with established standards
- Directing and coordinating Jumbo Offsider / Nipper to maximise production in a safe and efficient manner
- Carrying out effective high quality workplace inspections, ensuring correct signage (warning/hazards) are used and maintained at all times according to site standards and procedures
About you
- significant underground mining experience including minimum of 2 years Jumbo Operator - Sandvik preferred
- Security Clearance (UHL) or ability to obtain
- Valid manual driver's licence
- Strong knowledge of mine services and safe work procedures
- Solid communication and observation skills
- Familiarity with JSA systems
- Mechanical aptitude
- Supervisory experience (a bonus!)
- You must have the right to live and work in Australia
