Job description
The Casino Food Co-op is a leading export food processor with production facilities located in Casino and Booyong, near Lismore, in the Northern Rivers area of the NSW Far North Coast.
The Co-op has an opportunity within their Engineering Services Department for a number of Industrial Electricians to help lead our Engineering Services team. The roles will report to the Engineering Services Management team and will be responsible for oversight of engineering personnel throughout our 3 processing plants.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role will include:
* Formulate engineering strategies that align with production requirements and the long-term goals of the engineering services department.
* Foster a collaborative and positive culture within the engineering services department.
* Oversee the quality of works to ensure it is to an acceptable standard and that any issues are resolved in a timely manner.
* Promote a strong safety culture within the engineering services team, ensuring compliance within an ever-changing safety environment.
* Assist the Engineering Services Management team to develop, implement and review department specific policies and procedures.
* Lead regular meetings with Engineering Services personnel to ensure the efficient and timely flow of information throughout the department.
* Conduct training needs assessments of engineering services personnel to identify skills shortages and potential training opportunities.
* Resolve minor grievances and escalate issues as necessary.

* Electrical trade qualifications and/or experience will be highly regarded.
