Tweed Shire Council is seeking a confident and capable People & Culture Business Partner to join their Corporate Services team. This is a hands-on generalist role, partnering with a designated client group to deliver high-quality, strategic and operational HR support.
You'll work closely with leaders to shape a positive, high-performing and inclusive workplace culture that supports the broader goals of the organisation and the community.

Your day-to-day will include
- Building trusted relationships with managers and supervisors across your client group
- Providing advice and support on employee relations, industrial matters, workforce planning, performance and change
- Coaching and mentoring leaders to strengthen people leadership capability
- Leading and contributing to people initiatives and engagement programs
- Supporting compliance, policy development and reporting requirements
- Working closely with the Senior P&C Business Partner on strategic workforce priorities
What we're looking for
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Law or related discipline, or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Solid understanding of employment legislation, awards, and HR best practices
- Experience managing complex performance and grievance matters
- Strong communication, relationship-building and influencing skills
- Ability to work both strategically and operationally in a fast-paced environment
- A current driver's licence
Desirable: experience in a local government or public sector environment
