This role involves conducting general maintenance and repair tasks on a diverse range of council vehicles including an extensive range of light to heavy machinery.

We're currently seeking reliable, skilled mechanics to fill multiple positions within the Northern Rivers, offering an exciting opportunity to work with local council on a casual basis with potential permanent opportunities in the future.

Essential requirements:

• Possession of relevant Trade Certificates
• Experience in plant maintenance and/or mechanical expertise
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues promptly
• White Card (General construction induction card)
• Physically fit and enjoy hands on work
• Unrestricted Australian working rights (Aus Citizen or Aus Resident)
• A positive attitude, adaptable to changing situations
• Availability to accept casual contracts

Desirable in addition to essential requirements:

• Experience in vehicle 12/24V electrical systems
• Truck Licence (LR, MR, HR or HC)
• Plant Operating experience
