About the Organisation:

Established to serve and support returned service personnel and their families, the Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club has grown into a vibrant community hub for members and guests alike. The Club is committed to honouring its heritage while continuing to evolve- providing quality dining, entertainment, and social experiences for its members. It plays an integral role in local community engagement, sponsoring sporting groups, supporting veterans, and hosting events that bring people together.

The Role:

As the General Manager, you will:

• Lead all aspects of the Club's operations, financial performance, and governance compliance.
  
• Drive strategic initiatives and provide evidence-based advice to the Board.
  
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Registered Clubs Act and Liquor & Gaming Regulations.
  
• Oversee and mentor staff, supported by an experienced Operations Manager who manages day-to-day operational delivery.
  
• Safeguard member assets and ensure ethical procurement practices.
  
• Represent the Club with regulators, industry bodies, and the wider Junee community.
  
• Lead initiatives and special projects that deliver value and enhance the member experience.

Experience:

• 5+ years of senior management experience within hospitality, clubs, or community-focused venues.
  
• Proven expertise in governance, compliance, and strategic leadership.
  
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, reporting, and audit coordination.
  
• Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing complex operations.
  
• Experience liaising with Boards and managing stakeholder engagement.
  
• Sound understanding of the Registered Clubs Act 1976, Liquor Act 2007, and Gaming Machines Act 2001.
