Financial Planner

Job description

  • About Our Client:
Our client is a client-first financial planning firm committed to delivering exceptional advice and building long-term relationships. Their unique operational structure is designed to reduce administrative burden, with dedicated review, paraplanning, marketing, lending, and implementation teams supporting advisers. This allows advisers to focus on what truly matters - clients and quality advice.

    The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Adviser to join the team in the Central West of NSW. This role goes beyond providing technical advice - it's about building trust, understanding individual client goals, and creating tailored strategies that evolve as clients' lives and businesses change. You'll be working with a wide spectrum of clients, from individuals and families planning for retirement through to business owners requiring complex structuring and risk management solutions.

Advisers are empowered to deliver advice across multiple disciplines, with support from specialist teams to ensure clients receive a holistic service. You will play a key role in growing and nurturing the client base, ensuring all interactions meet the highest professional and compliance standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Take the lead in client discovery, identifying goals, challenges, and opportunities to design personalised financial strategies.

    • Develop and present tailored recommendations across lending, superannuation, investment, insurance, and retirement planning.

    • Conduct regular progress reviews, ensuring clients remain on track to achieve their objectives while adapting strategies to life or market changes.

    • Collaborate with paraplanners, client service staff, and lending specialists to deliver a seamless end-to-end client experience.

    • Proactively build new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and community engagement, while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

    • Maintain rigorous compliance standards, ensuring all advice and client records are accurate, timely, and aligned with both ASIC and company requirements.

    • Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes, keeping your knowledge current and integrating best practice into advice.

    • Actively contribute to team discussions and initiatives, helping to shape a positive, professional, and client-focused workplace culture.

    • Work towards clearly defined performance goals, balancing revenue generation with quality of service and long-term client satisfaction.

    What Success Looks Like:

    • Clients feel genuinely supported and confident in their financial direction.

    • Business growth through referrals, repeat engagement, and enhanced client outcomes.

    • Trusted partnerships built with accountants, solicitors, and other referral sources.

    • Demonstrated leadership in compliance, professionalism, and ethical advice delivery.

    • Collaboration with colleagues to continually improve processes and client service delivery.

    About You:

    • Have relevant qualifications and completed your Professional Year

    • Minimum 2-5 years' experience as a Financial Adviser

    • Excellent communication and relationship management skills

    • Strong technical knowledge across multiple advice areas

    • Client-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service

    Why Join?

    • Be part of a highly supportive, professional, and client-first culture

    • Flexible working available to be discussed at interview
    • Benefit from a dedicated back-office team handling administration, paraplanning, and client services

    • Work with a firm that values quality advice, long-term client relationships, and work-life balance

    • Attractive remuneration package and great team culture on offer!
