Finance Manager

Job description

Our client is a family-owned business with a strong connection to regional NSW, Agriculture & Business. This agricultural business includes livestock (cattle and sheep), and cropping (wheat, barley, sorghum, cotton, lucerne etc).

The Role

We are seeking a experienced part time Finance Manager to oversee financial management, reporting, and planning, reporting into the Chief Financial Officer and working closely with the senior management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial aspects of the operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning to support business growth and sustainability.
  • Responsible for 2 experienced bookkeepers.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor cash flow, cost control, and business plans.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, grants, and subsidies.
  • Work closely with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls and risk management strategies.
  • Oversee payroll function (outsourced), supplier payments, and financial transactions.
  • Provide financial insights to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and long-term planning.
  • Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA/ CPA or similar preferred).
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably with an understanding of Agribusiness.
  • Proficiency in financial software, budgeting tools, and accounting systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    Package:
  • Up to $150k (incl. super) pro-rata at 3 days pw to $90k.
