The Role

The Farm Irrigation Manager at P&J Harris and Sons will be a pivotal figure responsible for overseeing irrigation operations and leading the team to ensure optimal crop production. You'll provide direction and support to ensure that safety protocols are followed and irrigation schedules are meticulously executed. Your primary goal will be to uphold the company's commitment to environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance, ensuring the farm operates efficiently and produces high-quality crops.

The Key Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate day-to-day farm operations, including planning, irrigation, and harvest activities.
• Develop and implement irrigation schedules tailored to crop requirements.
• Monitor and maintain irrigation infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance.
• Supervise operational team members, fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.
• Assist in monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation of safety incidents and water usage.

Criteria to Apply:Top of Form

• Previous farm management experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems.
• Current driver's license.
• Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
