Facilities Assistant

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake cleaning to ensure facility cleanliness is maintained. This will involve bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, window cleaning, surface wiping, litter collection etc.
  • Restock consumable items from Council's Store into all Community Facilities as required.
  • Assist with the set up and pack down of rooms and sports courts.
  • Manual handling associated with the setting up and storing of furniture and equipment.
  • Report any damages to community facilities to ensure buildings are well maintained in a respectable and presentable condition.
  • Operate council vehicle safely to move from one location to another

Essential requirements:

  • C Class Drivers Licence
  • Unrestricted Australian working rights
  • Willingness to work both weekdays and weekends
  • Ability to undertake cleaning duties of public facilities, including bathrooms.
  • Immunisation against Hepatitis A and B

Desirable:

  • Experience in commercial cleaning and/or cleaning of public amenities
  • First Aid certification
