About the Role

Join Ballina Shire Council's Health and Environment team to protect and enhance community wellbeing. As an Environmental Health Officer (Food Specialist), you'll provide high-level expertise in environmental health services-particularly inspections of food and commercial premises-to ensure compliance with public health legislation and food safety standards.

What You'll Bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Public Health or related discipline

• Class C driver's licence

• Demonstrated experience in environmental health services, reporting, and submissions

• Strong knowledge of the Public Health Act 1991, NSW Food Act 2010, and Food Standards Code

• Collaborative, values-driven behaviour: creative, accessible, respectful, energetic, and safe

• (Desirable) Local Government experience and knowledge of the Local Government Act
