DA Planner (Casual) - Murwillumbah

Up to $67 per hour | 2-3 Month Contract | Immediate Start

Spinifex Recruiting is seeking an experienced DA Planner for a casual opportunity with Tweed Shire Council, based in Murwillumbah.

This is an ASAP start for an initial 2-3 month assignment, with potential for extension, supporting the Planning team through a current influx of Development Applications - predominantly dwelling houses and pools.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in assessing and processing Development Applications within a high-volume environment. This position requires someone who can work both independently and collaboratively within a team, while being primarily office-based. Site inspections will form part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessment and determination of Development Applications
• Preparing reports and recommendations in line with NSW legislation
• Liaising with applicants, consultants and internal stakeholders
• Conducting site inspections as required

About You

• Demonstrated experience in DA assessment and statutory planning
• Strong working knowledge of NSW Planning Legislation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Current driver's licence
