Byron Shire Council is looking for two friendly, tech-savvy, and customer-focused individuals to join their dedicated team in Mullumbimby. If you're passionate about helping others and thrive in a fun, supportive environment, this could be the role for you!

The roles:

  • Part-time contract: Monday to Wednesday, until January 2026
  • Full-time contract: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the potential to become permanent

These roles involve a dynamic mix of face-to-face customer service and call centre support. You'll be on the front line, assisting members of the community with a range of enquiries and providing exceptional service both in person and over the phone.

What we're looking for:

  • Resilient, friendly and level-headed - calm under pressure with a positive outlook
  • 5+ years' experience in customer service or admin
  • Gold star service skills - professional, empathetic and solutions-focused
  • Confident communicator, both face-to-face and over the phone
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems
  • A reliable team player who brings energy and care to every interaction
