Byron Shire Council is looking for a dynamic and experienced Construction Coordinator to lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality capital works projects. If you have a passion for infrastructure, leadership skills, and a drive to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you!

About the Role

As the Construction Coordinator, you'll oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of capital projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage. You'll lead a team of operational, technical, and supervisory staff while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

What You'll Be Doing

🔹 Managing and supervising a team delivering capital works projects.
🔹 Overseeing construction planning, scheduling, and delivery.
🔹 Ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
🔹 Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
🔹 Providing technical advice and leadership in road and infrastructure projects.
🔹 Managing budgets, contracts, and resources effectively.

What We're Looking For

✅ Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
✅ Experience delivering capital works projects in roads, drainage, or civil infrastructure.
✅ Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams.
✅ Excellent problem-solving, budgeting, and project management skills.
✅ A commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
✅ Current Class C driver's licence and WorkCover General Construction Induction Certificate.
