The Company

This large facilities management company provides cleaning and waste management services to some of Australia's most recognised facilities. On track to post revenues of $150M in 2025, the company has been established more than 15 years and is growing year-on-year.

The Role

They are looking for a hands-on Cleaning Team Leader to take responsibility for one of their client's sites in Wellington, NSW. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, normally starting at around 7:30am.

You will be responsible for the company's services to the entire client site (excluding exterior... e.g. lawns, pavements etc). Daily, this includes all internal areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, dining area, offices, sheds etc. The site also includes accommodation, and once or twice per week the accommodation should also be cleaned (excluding bedding).

The varied role involves:

  • Hands-on cleaning, generally 2-3 days per week on your own, and then 2-3 days per week with one or two others (who you will be leading)
  • Rostering, coordinating and supervising a team of 1-2 casual staff (from a larger pool)
  • Administration, inventory and stock-take
  • Working closely with several client employees and fostering strong relationships

About You

You will be an experienced cleaner who has experience working at large sites, preferably including accommodation (hospitality venues would be a good example). You will ideally have previous supervisory or leadership experience and will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

On Offer

This is a permanent role with a starting salary up to $55,000 base depending on experience.
