Civil Formwork Carpenter & Civil Labourers

Local Council Contract | Lismore Area | Immediate Start

Spinifex Recruiting is currently seeking experienced civil construction workers for an immediate start on a Local Council Roads & Maintenance / Bridge Crew project based in the Lismore area. These roles offer strong potential for ongoing work and a genuine foot in the door with local government.

Location: Lismore NSW
Start Time: 6:30am
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: TBC - potentially ongoing

Formwork Carpenter - Civil / Bridge Works / Pay Rate: $42.81 per hour + super

We are seeking a qualified Formwork Carpenter with a solid civil construction background, particularly in concreting and structural works.

Essential Requirements:

• Cert III in Carpentry (mandatory)
• Strong formwork and concreting experience
• Civil construction background
• Ability to read and interpret plans
• Experience with boxing, retaining walls and structural formwork
• Confident using laser levels
• White Card
• Own vehicle and ability to travel to and from depot

Highly Regarded:

• Traffic Control tickets
• LR or MR licence
• Previous bridge or council civil works experience

Civil Labourers - Concreting / Formwork Support / Pay Rate: $35.37 per hour + super

We are also looking for physically fit and reliable Civil Labourers to support formwork and concreting crews.

Duties Include:

• Assisting with concreting and formwork
• Stripping boxing
• Setting up reo
• General civil labouring duties
• Following direction from supervisors and crew leaders

Essential Requirements:

• Previous civil labouring experience
• Exposure to concreting and/or formwork
• White Card
• Strong work ethic and resilience
• Comfortable working outdoors in tough conditions
• Own vehicle and ability to travel to and from depot

Important Information

• No Working Holiday Visa applicants will be considered
• These roles may become ongoing and offer the potential to be considered for permanent council positions later in the year
• Early starts and physical work in a structured council environment
