📝 Design Engineer - (Grade 16)
Perfect for civil engineers with strong skills in investigation, design, drafting, and technical problem‑solving.

What You'll Do

• Investigate and design civil infrastructure projects aligned with Council's Delivery and Operational Plans.
  * Produce high‑quality construction drawings, plans, and reports using industry‑standard software.
  * Provide strategic engineering advice and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
  * Prepare estimates, technical assessments, and information for REF and development applications.
  * Maintain project and asset management data systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  * Assess infrastructure needs for new developments and provide technical guidance.
  * Contribute to process and system improvements to enhance project outcomes.
  * Support positive customer service, field enquiries, and represent Council professionally.

What You'll Bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  * Proven design and drafting experience in civil infrastructure projects.
  * Knowledge of engineering standards, civil construction practices, and land development.
  * Strong communication skills for technical advice, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
  * Proficiency in design software (e.g., 12d, AutoCAD, Magnet) and MS Office.
  * Ability to manage priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  * Class C driver licence.

Desirable:
* Experience with asset or project management systems.
* Exposure to Local Government engineering processes.
* Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
