Business Development Manager

Job description

Our client, a leading independently owned and operated underbody and power transmission company, is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team.

About the Role:

This key position reports to the National Sales Manager and support 3 x Branch Managers, and is responsible for managing, innovating, and growing the sales of company products and services within the metropolitan and surrounding regions. Your focus will be on increasing business opportunities and revenue outcomes.

You'll achieve this by:
  • Establishing a call cycle to generate new customers and support existing accounts.

  • Providing technical, product, and general support to the customer base.
  • Attending scheduled onsite prospect and customer meetings
  • Maintaining reports and records of all customer contacts, visits, and follow-ups in the company's CRM.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A demonstrated history of sales growth and increased revenue results.

  • Interest and some experience in mechanical problems/solutions/products/services (automotive, light/heavy vehicle, mobile plant etc)
  • Technical sales or solution sales background - hunting and account management.
  • Excellent online and face-to-face presentation skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and take pride in relationship building and delivering results for customers.
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Immediate right to work permanently in Australia and currently reside in Australia

The position requires local and regional travel - Sydney, Hunter, Illawarra and some Central West. You will need a degree of flexibility in working hours to meet customer expectations. Rewards will be attractive. Role will offer flexibility but expect transparency in strategy and execution.
