Immed Start - NSW Police - Working at 2 sites: Olympic Park and Parramatta
WFH 2 days p/w and 3 days at the offices
Daily Rate PAYG 790p/d + Super
Overview:
One of the aims of Enterprise Architecture & Strategy (EAS) is to provide a centralised resourcing model, inclusive of strategists, analysts, and architects. This includes practice management of all business analyst functions for supply of major programs or work, project initiatives and BAU.
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for analysis, requirements gathering, selection, development and delivery of integrated solutions for large and complex programs and Projects within NSWPF. The position works with both internal and external delivery partners within the Digital Technology & Innovation team.
Key Accountabilities
- Research, analyse and document data / information specifically within the Data and Integration domains.
- Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders / SMEs to capture information required for the creation of complex data models and map information flows.
- Document data requirements for both internal NSWPF and external agencies interfaces including interim and target state architecture.
- Work with business stakeholders to identify data required to support current and target state business processes.
- Ability to dissect information based on classification levels with an understanding up to "Protected"
- Drive the design, documentation and development of technical requirements and functional specifications using context diagrams and process models.
- Elicit and document user requirements using various techniques which include but not limited to interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
- Evaluate proposed system solutions in close liaison with system developers to ensure delivery of solutions that are consistent with NSWPF expectations.
- Conducting workshops with business and technical SMEs, eliciting technical requirements supporting business, data and integration needs;
- Prepare technical requirements for system test plans relating to data and integration scenarios and work with the Test Manager to ensure delivery of quality systems.
- Manage and develop relationships with project team members and stakeholders in order to ensure successful projects outcomes and to maintain client satisfaction;
- Work as an effective team member in investigating and developing options and solutions while championing business needs;
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated superior communication (oral and written) with advanced stakeholder and SMEs engagement skills and negotiation skills with a proven capacity to develop and maintain sound working relationships with end users, key stakeholders, suppliers, and project team members
- Proven experience conducting workshops with business and technical SMEs, eliciting technical requirements supporting business, data and integration needs
- Proven experience working as an integration/data and technical analyst, across agile and/or waterfall delivery models for major ICT programs / projects.
- Experience in complex data mappings and understanding business process to drive the data requirements.
- Demonstrated experience as a business analyst in developing technical requirements from abstract briefs and preparing functional specifications with complex or large information systems.
- Extensive experience in the development of instructional and procedural documentation and presentations.
- Demonstrated experience as a technical analyst in the discovery of legacy mainframe and open system applications from a business, data and integration perspective.
- Experience of using system architect to document data models is a nice to have
- Demonstrated organisational, time management and prioritising skills;
- Highly developed skills in computer literacy, particularly in business productivity products - Microsoft Word, Project, Excel and PowerPoint etc.
- Possess Business Analysis certification such as IIBA / Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
