Administration Assistant (Human Resources Department)
Job description
Spinifex Recruiting is the North Coast's leading recruitment agency, with over ten years' experience servicing government and commercial clients. Partnering with Byron Shire Council, we now have a role available for a switched on, bright & bubbly Administration Assistant to join the Human Resources team!
Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, what does your day to day involve?
- Coordinating learning & development activities for internal staff
- First point of contact for all Human Resources calls. You are essentially the 'gatekeeper' for the team and do this VERY well!
- Assisting HR with events such as award ceremonies, staff forums, employment expos
- Little bit of finance admin - paying invoices and raising POs (this can be taught)
- Data entry & adhoc administration. Everyday will be a little different!
Our client would be excited if you ticked the following boxes. You are:
- Bubbly, positive and have that 'glass half full' attitude
- Tech-savvy. You have experience working with spreadsheets, PowerPoint (Canva is a plus!)
- Exceptional communication skills. You aren't scared of the phone!
- Known to be a 'get stuff done!' kind of person. You don't need to be micromanaged & can work through a 'to do' list.
- Happy to work 100% in-office. This role is quite hands-on, therefore WFH is tricky.
- Able to start with a max of 1-2 weeks notice.
If you have experience using local government databases (Content Manager, Authority), this is a BIG plus!
