$41p/h + Super

The City of Sydney is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Property Services team.

As an integral part of our department, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable function specifically related to Property Services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of one of Australia's most dynamic cities.

Key responsibilities & duties

* Manage the accounts receivable process for property services, including invoicing, billing, and collection activities.

* Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to clients for property-related services rendered by the City of Sydney.

* Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection.

* Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

* Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and address client inquiries related to invoices and payments.

* Maintain up-to-date records of all transactions and communications related to accounts receivable.

* Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed.

* Stay abreast of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to accounts receivable processes and property services.

* Provide support to other finance team members as needed, including participation in special projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience working in an accounts receivable or similar finance role, preferably in the property services sector.

* Proficiency in accounting software such as TechOne and Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills.

* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.

* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team..

* Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations.

* Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
