29 – Masters of the Mandagery

Eugowra, in the Central West of NSW, is an hour west of Orange and has a population of around 800 people. It’s a community full of honest, hard-working people.

Many of you will remember that in November last year, an unimaginable flash flood hit the town. We saw harrowing footage of residents needing to be rescued from their roofs, houses & vehicles washed away and so much general devastation. A staggering 85% of homes were damaged/destroyed.

The residents bravely got up almost the next day to clean up & rebuild. The surrounding townspeople of Forbes & Parkes (and beyond) stepped up and did everything they could to assist in their time of need.

Four months on, the hard work of rebuilding Eugowra is still underway and we encourage wider NSW, particularly businesses, to sponsor the repair of the town through the local group of Masters of the Mandagery. Eugowra Masters of the Mandagery is made up of locals like Andrew Barnes (Geagle Productions) that have put their own businesses on hold to help the town they are proud to have come from.

We share our office in Orange with Barnesy and we’d love to see you get behind him, as the money goes to painting people’s houses and getting them back on their feet.

You can bid on Cooper Cronk’s Australian jersey or purchase tickets for a Live Aid concert to help them raise $500k for the Eugowra community. There are no admin fees, and Barnesy is the paint spray gun!
