MR / HR Driver & Labourer - Tweed Shire Council Projects

Spinifex Recruiting is currently seeking reliable and motivated MR or HR Licensed Driver/Labourers to support a range of Tweed Shire Council infrastructure and maintenance projects. This is an excellent opportunity to secure consistent full-time hours, gain valuable council experience, and potentially progress into a permanent council position.

The Role

This is a hands-on position that combines both driving and labouring duties, with approximately:

• 70% Labouring
• 30% Driving

You'll be working across a range of council operations including:

• Civil construction and road maintenance
• Stormwater and drainage works
• Line marking and signage installation
• Parks and open space maintenance
• General infrastructure projects

Successful applicants may be based from any of Tweed Shire Council's major depots located at:

• Tweed Heads West
• Murwillumbah
• Cabarita Beach

About You

To be considered, you will have:

• Current MR or HR Driver Licence (essential)
• Construction White Card (essential)
• Previous labouring experience, preferably within civil, construction, landscaping or council environments
• Strong work ethic and willingness to get out of the truck and assist on the ground
• Good level of physical fitness
• Reliable transport and ability to commence ASAP

Council or civil construction experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
